Ear Gate-What are you listening to?

Updated: Jan 21

Could it be that what your listening to is throwing your mind and spirit off balance?

The ears are organs that provide two main physical functions — hearing and balance — that depend on specialized receptors called hair cells.

  • Hearing: The eardrum vibrates when sound waves enter the ear canal. Ossicles, three tiny bones (including the stapes, the smallest bone in the body), pass vibrations to the oval window, which is a membrane at the entrance to the inner ear.

  • Balance: Balance is achieved through a combination of the sensory organ in the inner ear, visual input, and information received from receptors in the body, especially around joints. The information processed in the cerebellum and cerebral cortex of the brain allows the body to cope with changes in speed and the direction of the head.

Interesting huh sooo if your sensory organ in the inner ear is damaged then you will physically be off balance.

would it be safe to say that, if what you hear daily, weekly, monthly and yearly is something that could potentially damage you, that the fruit of that would cause some parts of your life to be off balanced?

The bible says

Proverbs 4: 20-22

20 My son, pay attention to what I am saying; incline your ear to my words. 21 Don’t let them out of your sight, keep them deep in your heart; 22 for they are life to those who find them and health to their whole being.

Here is a little of my story during my rebellious phase in life from around 18 to 21.
